Market Definition
A pulse oximeter is a piece of medical gear that measures
the amount of oxygen in a patient's blood. It is a tiny clip-like device that
measures when and how much oxygen is being used up by being externally
connected to a person's finger, toe, or earlobe. In hospital wards, it's
frequently done to check someone's pulse during procedures, emergencies,
treatments, and recovery. The device uses a cold light source to determine the
amount of oxygen in red blood cells by sending light through the point of
contact and measuring how much can pass to the other end.
